Life list
Every bird you hatch on this site, kept the way a birder keeps a life list: each species counts once, at its best sighting. Birds come only from runs you make yourself, in the Coop's two cages and in the Run box on Field Guide methods.

The six birds
A bird's species follows how many times smaller its model is than the model it was measured against. Its condition follows one of two rules, and every sighting below says which. A bird is drawn once you have seen it, in the best condition you have seen it in.
- Share kept, for YOLOv8n in the Coop and every Field Guide run
- A bird stays healthy while its model keeps at least 95% of the reference's score, and turns to bones at 60% or less.
- Pigeon's line, for Pigeon in the Coop
- Pigeon in the Coop has its own line: healthy at 90% accuracy or more with 75% pointing or more, bones at 60% accuracy or less, or 35% pointing or less.

Newest first. Size is how many times smaller (or bigger) than its reference the model is. Score is what the bird's rule reads: the share of the reference's score the model keeps, or for Pigeon's line, its accuracy and pointing. Rule names which of the two rules above graded the bird. The same recipe run again replaces its earlier sighting.

Every model you make smaller here hatches a bird, and each one is saved to this list. Three places to start:
- Load a preset in the Coop, where you shrink Pigeon itself:FP16 or Mixed precision.
- Shrink a real detector in the Coop's second cage:YOLOv8n.
- Run a Field Guide method in your browser:Post-training quantization or Magnitude pruning.
